A Time to Celebrate the Life of Danny Shirley, May 17, 2015



The plans have been finalized and it is time to celebrate the life of Danny Shirley.

Where: 
 Apple Annie's,1720 W Palmetto St, Florence, SC
When:     Sunday May 17th
Time:      2:00pm - until

Uncle Danny had no life insurance of any kind, and all of the final bills, along with all of the cost of the funeral have added up.  . To help the family, Shane Brannon of "Apple Annie's" fame, is holding a benefit that will also serve as a celebration of Uncle Danny's life, 
Sunday May 17th, from 2pm -until at Apple Annies in Florence.

Lance and Chad Shirley invite you to join in the fun. There will be celebrating with plenty of food and drinks. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be grilled outside as well. 


There will be great Live and Local music all day. 
All proceeds will go to the family to help with the final expenses.

They are looking forward to seeing you and celebrating everything Uncle Danny loved. Danny Shirley was 60 years old when he died Tuesday April 28h, 2015 in a local hospital.. He loved his family, his friends, good music and his Clemson Tigers.  Come share your Uncle Danny story as we remember a great guy and help his family at this difficult time.

Raeford Buie, Former Timmonsville Town Administrator, Life Celebration, May 4, 2015

Raeford Eli Buie was just 65 years old when he went to his heavenly home on Friday evening May 1, 2015 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. He was surrounded by his loving family.


Monday, May 4, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., a life celebration funeral services will be held at Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, 4071 Creek Rd, Timmonsville, SC 29161.  Interment will follow at Byrd Cemetery on Layton Circle in Timmonsville. 


The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. before the funeral service at the church on Monday.

Mr. Buie was born in Darlington County, the son of the late Palmer and Pauline Jordan Buie.

Raeford was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church. His life's work was as a Utility Contractor/Plumber. He owned J & B Utility Contractors, and he was in charge of Public Works and the Town Administrator in Timmonsville for 20 years. He was currently working with Carolina Supply House in Florence. 

He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Frances Morris Buie; his parents; and six brothers, John, Roy, Wilson, Jim, Julian, and Ronald Buie.

He is survived by his wife Pat Spring Buie of the home. He leaves two sons, Timothy Rae Buie and his wife Maria of Florence and Ritchie Buie of Timmonsville; two step-daughters, Pamela (Mitchell) McCaskill of Mullins, SC, Jill (Stephen) Lynch of Timmonsville.

Raeford also leaves three brothers, Gerald (Bettina) Buie, Robert Buie all of Florence, and Kistler Buie, of Lumberton, NC; a sister, Hazel Buie Thompson of Darlington and a special niece Shelby Walker of Timmonsville. Raeford is leaving two precious granddaughters, Abby & Gracie Buie, and four step-grandchildren, Brittany and Kayla White, and Conner and Piercen Lynch.
